Center for Logistics Leadership in Business (CLLB) is an establishment formed ostensibly for the purpose of providing knowledge and skills development for the advancement of Logistics and Supply Chain Management Practices in Malaysia and the region. CLLB focuses on identifying industry needs with regards to human resource requirements. Since 2010 CLLB has trained approximately 3000 participants who have obtained their certification as ‘Competent Person’ in the IMDG Code from the Malaysian Marine Department (MARDEP)
The extensive coverage of the IMDG Code has been appreciated in the context of warehousing using as guidance the codes emphasis on the usage of UN approved packages, proper marking and labelling, clear and accurate documentation and segregation principles for storing incompatible DG. In order to ensure that the basic principles related to safety in handling and transporting DG, CLLB has designed a number of ‘Professional Training Certificates’ to address the knowledge and competency gaps in this area.



Establishment of CLLB Sdn Bhd
Founded in 2003 CLLB is forerunner in providing industry centric competency, skills and knowledge development programmes in logistics and supply chain management, focusing on safety and sustainability
Obtained a grant from MIDA to introduce lean logistics concept
In 2005 working with the Airfreight Forwarders Association of Malaysia- AFAM, CLLB obtained a grant from MIDA to introduce Lean Logistics concepts in Malaysia for 300+ participant members of AFAM
Training courses in Maritime Dangerous Goods
In 2008 we began training courses in Maritime Dangerous Goods, prior to the training becoming mandatory for port users Worldwide.
CLLB obtained the approval from the Malaysian Marine Department
In 2010 when dangerous goods by sea training and certification became Mandatory CLLB obtained the approval from the Malaysian Marine Department, MARDEP to run the International Maritime Dangerous Goods-IMDG Code courses.

Reshma Yousuf;key consultant and trainer and director of CLLB, has more than 20 years’ experience in the Integrated Logistics industry as a service provider; user; trainer and consultant. She is a Charter member of the ‘Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport-CILT and has also obtained ‘Corporate Affiliation’ between CLLB and CILT. Reshma has been actively involved in Malaysian Logistics Council-MLC in the focus group on integrated logistics and supply chain. She was instrumental in providing studies and reports in gaps found within the human resource development in logistics sector in Malaysia. She has initiated the focus on dangerous goods, DG safety and security compliance during her involvement in MLC and is actively working towards ‘Industry-based’ self-compliance in the movement, storage and handling of DG. She has also attended the sub-committee meetings related to the revisions and update of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods, IMDG Code developed by the ‘International Maritime Organization-IMO’,the specialized agency of United Nations. She conducts training throughout Peninsular and East Malaysia and has facilitated a number of these training programs. In her capacity she has also offered consultancy services pertaining to safe & secure handling & transport of dangerous goods.
